CUP – Diagnostic appointment booking
Farmacia Ciacco offers the CUP service for booking, rescheduling or cancelling specialist visits and diagnostic examinations under the Italian National Health Service, without having to queue at the hospital CUP. The service is available during opening hours and costs €3 per transaction; any co-payment (ticket sanitario) remains separate and is paid at the time of the appointment, unless exempt.
To avoid delays it is useful to come with all necessary documents: referral or NRE code, health card, any exemption code and a phone number for SMS reminders.

What can I book through the CUP at the pharmacy?
All services provided by the Italian National Health Service (SSN) listed on the regional CUP calendar: specialist visits, diagnostic examinations (ultrasound, X-rays, CT scans, MRI, blood tests), screenings, follow-ups and similar. The service must be covered by the doctor's referral or treatment plan.
What documents do I need to bring?
You will need: the referral or prescription (paper or the NRE code for an electronic prescription), health card (tessera sanitaria), and any documentation required for the specific service (exemption code, previous prescriptions). Also have a phone number and a reference time ready for appointment reminder SMS messages.
How much does the booking cost?
